My focus is on helping you transform your space into something that eases your day-to-day stresses, and helps you feel like you have a handle on your stuff!
The process is straightforward, and I will be helping you through the steps ...
1. Discuss your priorities and needs.
2. Bring out and sort everything by type.
3. Look at it all and decide what to keep, donate, or pitch.
4. Determine the best use of space to arrange what you do keep.
5. Clean and touch up as necessary, both the space and the things you're putting back in it.
6. Put everything back in a pleasing arrangement that suits your needs.
7. Do a victory dance!
8. Have a chat about how to keep it organized and set up a maintenance plan/schedule, relaying that info to everyone who regularly shares your space.
9. Take photos to remind you how it looks when freshly organized, and to help you remember where everything goes!
My coaching isn't a formal thing when I work with you, but it's woven into how I communicate, and I want you to be comfortable with that. I'll take my cues from you as to how much you want!
During our Consult visit and throughout the time we're working together, I'll ask you about things like how you work and live, and what you've tried in the past. What support systems do you have? What frustrates you the most? What dreams do you have? The more I get to know you, the better I can help you shift your habits or patterns so you can keep things running smoothly on your own.
My training and years as a full-time coach taught me how to actively listen and reflect back to you what you're saying ... from a from a nonjudgmental perspective. If you have barriers that keep you trapped by your stuff, we can look at ways to knock those blocks down so that you're free to move forward. Think of this as a side order of coaching to your main course of organizing!
Things often come up in a reorganization that need to be moved, put together, taken apart, repaired, scrubbed, reattached, hung in a different spot, repainted, installed, or adjusted.
I'm not talking about fixing appliances or electrical or plumbing work, but the smaller jobs like shelving, moving artwork, walls full of holes, dingy baseboards, and tightening up loose and wobbly things.
I'll tell you what I think needs done, and you decide if you want me to do it as part of the job.
Part of the experience, not part of the bill ...
My desire is to bring you hope by showing you that you CAN do something about making your space more appealing and useful ... that with a little push we can make real changes together. I've seen tears of gratitude when I'm done, and it makes me so happy that I can help with my God-given talents.
I won't share your name or photos of your job unless I have your written permission, and I don't ever share your personal contact information with anyone unless I tell you it's necessary in order to have outside resources like a dumpster or supplies dropped off.
My working hours are somewhat flexible, but please keep calls between 8am and 8pm. I can schedule consultations on any day of the week, so I'm sure we can work something out.
I serve most of Hancock County, Hawkins County and Greene County, and will go as far north as Kingsport. I also cover Grainger County as far south as Washburn or Rutledge.
These folks can do things that I can't, please give them a call if you need more help!
For bigger jobs than I handle, please check out Miles Handyman Services. He's capable, thorough, and does beautiful work!
Let me come show you how I can help,
and give you some ideas for tackling the spaces you want to reclaim!
